A trip to the mountain village of Chatel will free you from the hassles of life 'down there'. Fresh air, smiling faces and the vigour of a life outdoors will leave you yearning for the hills and will remain in your heart for a lifetime.

Set in the heart of the beautiful Chablais Mountains, Chatel offers the best of Haute Savoie. With 38 working farms bringing tradition and vibrancy to the mountains and the superb infrastructure offering easy access even to the highest peaks, your trip to the resort offers you a key to the heavens of the world.

The village has grown from strength to strength over the past decade and now hosts a vast number of events and activities throughout the summer season. Chatel is the original Family Resort with a dedicated children's park for the ids to enjoy. Popular to all generations, a trip to the resort could include a relaxing walk along the river to the village of La Chapelle D'Abondance, an exhilarating VTT downhill bike ride down one of the many tailor made courses, an invigorating walk along the trails or an adrenalin pumping glide down the Fantasticable (a unique trip down a suspended cable at 100kmh 500 feet above the valley). The resort hosts many activities during the summer including the VTT downhill mountain biking events and has a bike park for the daring. For those thrill seekers take a course in Paragliding off the mountain tops.

Snowball is perfectly located, just a 5 minute walk from the town centre with free parking, breathtaking views across the valley, a BBQ, relaxing garden furniture and a safe storage room for those of you bringing bikes with you.

Wake up to see the sun peeping over the mountain and enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the veranda looking up the valley towards Linga and Pres La Joux. Take a stroll in to town and buy your weekly groceries from the fabulous artisinal market and then hike on up the mountain to enjoy views across to Mont Blanc and Les Dents du Midi. A trip to Snowball is the perfect peacemaker that will set your mind body and soul at ease and kick you back into perfect harmony.
